Dukes Bath is often praised for its superb location, just a short walk from the town center and attractions like the Roman Baths. Guests frequently highlight the spacious and comfortable rooms, with some enjoying the unique experience of a four-poster bed. uncomfortable bed fixed towel rail
I must admit I felt rather let down by a few aspects. The heated towel rail in the bathroom was stuck on (a bit like a sauna) was nice. The bed wasn't the most comfortable either, and I found myself being extra careful to avoid the knee-breaking features of the frame. It's a shame, because everything else was mostly fine (though I admit, I expected better).

loose plugs single-paned window
The location was acceptable for walking into the town centre.
I found the lack of a lift irritating. Climbing all those stairs with luggage was not fun at all. The room needed updating too. The electrical plugs were loose in the sockets, posing a potential hazard. the room only had a fan and a single-paned window, it would have been difficult to sleep during a heatwave.

poor pressure tired interior
The staff was very polite all the time, that was acceptable.
I found a few issues. The shower had poor water pressure, so taking a bath was a better option. I only knew about the shower power switch after I left. It was near the floor outside the bathroom, so I missed it. The inside looked tired.

excellent location friendly staff quality breakfast broken lock loose screws temperamental water
the location was excellent. it was just a few minutes walk into town. the staff were also super friendly and helpful with directions. i found the breakfast to be of good quality with a nice range of choices.
The bathroom lock was broken. the towel hook was also falling off the bathroom door. This was due to loose screws. i also noticed the water pressure was a bit temperamental.
